Jason Georgianna

Jason Georgianna is a professional mixed martial arts fighter with a 5-2 professional record and a 6-1-1 amateur record. He is a veteran of Palace Fighting Championship, Warrior Cup, Lords of the Cage, Rise Fighting Championship, Elite Warriors Championship, World Cagefighting Organization, Desertbrawl, Sportbrawling, Full Contact Fighting Federation and Ultimate Cage Fighting.

He has 10 years of jui jitsu training, first under Rickson Gracie purple belt Paul Grilley, then under Pedro Sauer black belt Allan Manganello, and now under Eddie Bravo protégé Gerald Strebendt. He is the 2005 AAU Northern California Featherweight no-gi jiu jitsu champion. Jason has studied wrestling since 1998 when he learned the fundamentals at Phoenix High School with assistant coach John Farmer. He worked for 18 months 1-on-1 with NAIA 133lb wrestling champion Matt Paulsen at Southern Oregon University, trading jiu jitsu lessons for wrestling lessons. Jason learned boxing initially with Ashland Boxing Club at Southern Oregon University, then briefly with House of Champions in Medford. During this time, he met and trained under Olaf Alfonso in Medford. Olaf introduced Jason to Mixed Martial Arts training and competition, and in 2000 Jason had his first MMA bout.= After a year if training with Olaf, Jason moved to New Mexico for work and started his own fight club on the Navajo Indian reservation in Crownpoint, NM in 2002. After moving down to the Hoopa reservation in Hoopa, CA in 2004, Jason started a fight club there and trained among other former Pacific Coast Cage Fights 170lb champion Damien Norton.

After moving to Eugene in early 2006, Jason began learning Muay Thai Kickboxing from Kru Thongsay Sanhtytham and now embraces Muay Thai Kickboxing as his preferred stand-up fighting style and earned 2006 Team Kobb Muay Thai fighter of the year award. Jason also honed his wrestling training with North Eugene standout wrestler Lance Wipf, teaching Lance jiu jitsu and MMA techniques in the process. Lance is now a successful professional fighter. Jason met and trained Jordon Sutton, another popular local pro as well as numerous local amateur fighters during his time in Eugene. Jason has also been fortunate to continue developing his Jiu Jitsu in a new direction learning 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu from Gerald “Finishing Machine” Strebendt.

Jason is also a professional fitness trainer with a Masters in Physical Education, who specializes in strength training and functional sport conditioning.
